Abstract:Objective To investigate the status and influencing factors of missed nursing care among hospitalized patients under a family-free care mode, and to provide references for improving patient experience. Methods Patients from a tertiary general hospital in Tianjin implementing the family-free care mode were selected using stratified proportional sampling.A battery of questionnaires was employed to collect data on patients′ general information, missed nursing care, anxiety, depression, activities of daily living (ADL), and self-care ability. Results A total of 301 valid questionnaires were collected. The total score for patient-reported missed nursing care was (15.14±2.58) points.Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that patient age, marital status (having a spouse or not), ADL, self-care ability, anxiety, depression, and the professional rank of the primary responsible nurse were inf-luencing factors for patients′ perception of missed nursing care (all P<0.05). Conclusion The level of missed nursing care among patients under the family-free care mode is low and influenced by both patient-related factors and the professional rank of nurses.Nursing managers should implement targeted measures addressing these factors to reduce missed nursing care and enhance patient care experience.
