Abstract:Objective To translate the Self-Assessment Teamwork Tool for Students (SATTS) into Chinese and test its reliability and validity in nursing simulation-based education. Methods The original scale was translate into Chinese in pursuant to the Brislin translation model. Then the Chinese version was reviewed through expert consultation. A convenience sampling method was employed to conduct a questionnaire survey among 430 undergraduate nursing students to evaluate the reliability and validity of the scale. Results The Chinese version SATTS comprises two dimensions (team collaboration and communication, information sharing and support) with a total of 9 items. Exploratory factor analysis extracted two common factors, with a cumulative variance contribution rate of 76.798%. Confirmatory factor analysis demonstrated favorable model fit indices (χ2/df=3.296, CFI=0.965, GFI=0.912, TLI=0.952, RMSEA=0.104, SRMR=0.032). The content validity of the scale was 0.921. The overall Cronbach′s α coefficient for the scale was 0.947, and the Cronbach′s α coefficients for the individual dimensions were 0.921 and 0.909, respectively. Conclusion The Chinese version SATTS demonstrates good reliability and validity, justifying its use as a effective tool for evaluating students′ teamwork abilities in nursing simulation-based education.
