Objective To develop a Kano model-based supply-demand matching framework for volunteer services provided by nursing students to community-dwelling older adults, and to provide a reference for optimizing nursing student volunteer service programs and promoting their effective implementation. Methods From March to July 2023, 746 nursing students and 409 community-dwel-ling older adults were recruited by convenience sampling for a questionnaire survey.Based on the Kano model, Better-Worse coefficients, ASC ranking, and dual-perspective matching analysis, a supply-demand matching framework was developed. Results The finally constructed supply-demand matching framework for nursing students participating in community elderly volunteer services consists of 3 levels including basic service items, preference service items and alternative service items, covering 20 volunteer ser-vice projects. Conclusion The constructed supply-demand matching framework defines the scope and priority of services suitable for volunteer nursing students, providing a feasible path for their phased and planned participation in community elderly volunteer services.Colleges and universities can refer to this framework to explore the integration of community elderly volunteer services and professional practical courses, so as to improve nursing students′ willingness to participate and service quality.
