Abstract:Objective To evaluate the implementation effect of the best evidence on the correct use of radiation protection equipment as specified in the Radiation Protection Standards for Medical Staff in Interventional Procedures, and to promote the standardization and normalization of radiation protection practices among such personnel. Methods Based on the Radiation Protection Stan-dards for Medical Staff in Interventional Procedures, 17 pieces of best evidence were identified.Implementation strategies were selected using the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR) combined with the Expert Recommendations for Implementing Change (ERIC) matching tool.An implementation protocol was developed through brainstorming and expert mee-tings.A total of 74 medical staff practicing in interventional procedures were recruited to implement the protocol.Implementation effects were evaluated based on the RE-AIM framework. Results The overall coverage rate of the implementation protocol was 72.5%.Fidelity for 16 items ranged from 1.4% to 100.0%.After the intervention, the sample showed significantly higher radiation protection knowledge and practics, and the personal dose equivalent was significantly reduced (all P<0.05).However, there was no statistically significant difference in radiation protection attitude before and after the intervention (P>0.05). Conclusion The implementation of the Radiation Protection Standards for Medical Staff in Interventional Procedures can effectively improve the radiation protection knowledge level, standardize radiation protection practices, and reduce radiation exposure doses among medical staff.
