Objective To investigate the current status of knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) of nursing staff in gynecological oncology wards regarding exercise therapy for patients with gynecological cancer, and to analyze its influencing factors, so as to provide a reference for implementing targeted measures to improve their KAP levels. Methods A self-designed questionnaire on KAP of exercise therapy for gynecological cancer patients was administered to a convenience sample of 1,094 nursing staff from 36 hospitals across 28 provinces in China between October and December 2024. Results The dimension scores for knowledge, attitude, and practice among nursing staff were (32.58±10.40), (48.45±7.76), and (46.48±11.83), respectively.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that hospital level, educational background, and whether the staff had received relevant training were factors influencing the total KAP score (all P＜0.05). Conclusion Nursing staff have a relatively positive attitude towards exercise therapy for cancer patients, but their knowledge and practice need improvement.Nursing managers should pay attention to providing training on exercise therapy for cancer patients to enhance nursing staff′s knowledge and practical skills, thereby promoting scientific management of exercise therapy for cancer patients.
