Objective To explore the effect of a mobile virtual simulation progressive game in teaching enterostomy care to nursing interns, and to provide a reference for optimizing clinical nursing teaching. Methods Sixty nursing interns who practiced in the department of gastrointestinal surgery from March 2024 to May 2025 were randomly divided into a control group （n=30） or an observation group （n=30）, receiving either traditional teaching for enterostomy care, or mobile virtual simulation progressive game.The two groups were compared in terms of theoretical examination scores and practical skills assessment scores.Additionally, the teaching effect was evaluated in the observation group. Results The theoretical examination scores and practical skills assessment scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group (both P＜0.05).The recognition rate of the seven teaching evaluation indicators in the observation group was 90.0% or higher. Conclusion The application of a mobile virtual simulation progressive game in clinical teaching of enterostomy care can improve teaching quality and is well-accepted by nur-sing interns.
