Abstract:Objective To systematically identify, describe and appraise the evidence on non-pharmacological interventions for cancer-related fatigue (CRF) in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy using an evidence mapping approach. Methods Rando-mized controlled trials (RCTs) and systematic reviews/meta-analyses on non-pharmacological interventions for CRF in breast can-cer patients undergoing chemotherapy were retrieved from Chinese and English databases.The methodological quality of the inclu-ded literature was assessed.Bubble charts were generated using Python software to present information on study populations, intervention types, sample sizes, and research conclusions. Results A total of 87 RCTs and 5 systematic reviews/meta-analyses were included. Fifty-five studies involved patients undergoing adjuvant chemotherapy.The interventions included exercise rehabilitation, psychological and behavioral interventions, physical modality interventions, and comprehensive multimodal interventions, with exercise rehabilitation being the most common (38 studies).Regarding efficacy on CRF, the conclusions of RCTs were predominantly "possibly beneficial" (50 studies) and "beneficial" (32 studies).All five systematic reviews/meta-analyses concluded that the interventions were beneficial. Conclusion Non-pharmacological interventions for CRF in breast cancer patients undergoing che-motherapy are diverse; however, the methodological quality of existing studies is generally low.Future research should focus on conducting more methodologically rigorous high-quality studies and develop stratified, individualized evidence-based intervention protocols tailored to the characteristics of patient at different treatment stages.
