Abstract:This paper summarizes the nursing experience of a patient with pocket hematoma complicated by extensive subcutaneous hematoma after pacemaker implantation. In the progressive stage of hematoma, dynamic assessment of hematoma progression, pacemaker function, and systemic bleeding risk, along with graded compression therapy, drainage care, balanced management of anticoagulation and hemostasis, pain management and psychological care were provided. In the stable stage after hematoma evacuation, care focused on promoting hematoma absorption and preventing rebleeding and infection; and in the recovery stage, phased functional exercise and transitional care were implemented. After 45 days of treatment and nursing care, the patient′s hematoma completely resolved without complications such as thrombosis. At 1-month follow-up after discharge, the patient had regained the ability to perform activities of daily living.
