Abstract:Objective To explore the psychological adjustment needs of junior emergency nurses and to provide a reference for delivering targeted support. Methods With search terms such as emergency, nurses, night shift, stress, and anxiety, Python was used to scrape discussions, Q&A, and featured texts related to these topics from the Xiaohongshu platform between January 2023 and Ja-nuary 2026.A total of 2,074 valid Q&A texts were retrieved.Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) topic modeling and co-word network analysis were used to reveal latent thematic structures within the texts, and the extracted themes were further attributed and analyzed in an integrated manner based on the Health Belief Model (HBM). Results Six themes related to psychological adjustment needs of junior emergency nurses were identified, including perceived susceptibility (health risk perception induced by workload), perceived severity (perceived consequences of job burnout and career development), perceived benefits (professional empowerment and positive support experiences), perceived barriers (resource constraints and psychological energy depletion), cues to action (si-tuational stressors and temporal trigger points), and self-efficacy (strategies for psychological adjustment and efficacy beliefs). Conclusion The psychological adjustment needs of junior emergency nurses are multifaceted.Nursing managers should optimize the emergency work environment, provide precise and timely support, and enhance junior emergency nurses′ psychological adjustment capabilities, thereby effectively promoting their psychological adaptation and sustainable career development.
