Abstract:Objective To develop a home-based cardiac rehabilitation management WeChat mini-program for patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) based on the Persuasive Systems Design (PSD) framework and to evaluate its preliminary usability and clinical applicability. Methods A home-based cardiac rehabilitation management WeChat mini-program was developed based on the PSD framework for healthcare applications. A preliminary clinical test was conducted among 38 patients who had undergone PCI. Results Patients′ adherence to home-based exercise rehabilitation progressively improved at 1, 2, and 3 months after PCI. Usability evaluation demonstrated excellent performance across all dimensions, with scores of 2.08(1.00, 3.33) points for system quality, (2.08±0.80) points for information quality, (2.06±0.80) points for interface quality, and (1.42±0.50) points for overall satisfaction. Scores in all four dimensions exceeded the established benchmark values. Conclusion The home-based cardiac rehabilitation management mini-program developed based on the persuasive system framework demonstrates good user experience and usability. It improves patients′ exercise adherence and provides a feasible tool for home-based cardiac rehabilitation management.
